21．生活の指針が必要な時

When you need guidelines for life
①ローマ 12：1～21
キリストにある新しい生活
こういうわけで、きょうだいたち、神の憐れみによってあなたがたに勧めます。自分の体を神に喜ばれる聖なる生けるいけにえとして献げなさい。これこそ、あなたがたの理に適（かな）った礼拝です。

 

あなたがたはこの世に倣（なら）ってはなりません。むしろ、心を新たにして自分を造り変えていただき、何が神の御心（みこころ）であるか、何が善いことで、神に喜ばれ、また完全なことであるのかをわきまえるようになりなさい。

私に与えられた恵みによって、あなたがた一人一人に言います。

分を越えて思い上がることなく、神が各自に分け与えてくださった信仰の秤（はかり）に従って、慎（つつし）み深く思うべきです。

 

〔というのは、〕一つの体の中に多くの部分があっても、みな同じ働きをしているわけではありません。それと同じように、私たちも数は多いが、キリストあって一つの体であり、一人一人が互いに部分なのです。

 

私たちは、与えられた恵みによって、それぞれ異なった賜物（たまもの）を持っています。預言の賜物を受けていれば、信仰に応じて預言し、奉仕の賜物を受けていれば、奉仕に、教える人は教えに、勧める人は勧めに専念しなさい。分け与える人は惜（お）しみなく分け与え、指導する人は熱心に指導し、慈善を行う人は快（こころよ）く行いなさい。

キリストにある生活の規範
愛には偽（いつわ）りがあってはなりません。悪を退（しりぞ）け、善に親しみ、兄弟愛をもって互いに深く愛し、互いに相手を尊敬し、怠らず励み、霊に燃えて、主に仕えなさい。

 

希望をもって喜び、苦難に耐え、たゆまず祈り、聖なる者たちに必要なものを分かち、旅人をもてなすよう努めなさい。

 

あなたがたを迫害する者を祝福しなさい。祝福するのであって、呪ってはなりません。

 

喜ぶ者と共に喜び、泣く者と共に泣きなさい。

 

互いに思いを一つにし、高ぶらず、身分の低い人々と交わりなさい。自分を賢い者と思ってはなりません。誰にも悪をもって悪に報（むく）いることなく、すべての人の前で善を行うように心がけなさい。

 

できれば、せめてあなたがたは、すべての人と平和に過ごしなさい。

 

愛する人たち、自分で復讐（ふくしゅう）せず、神の怒りに任せなさい。「『復讐は私のすること、私が報復する』と主は言われる」と書いてあります。「あなたの敵が飢えていたら食べさせ、渇いていたら飲ませよ。そうすれば、燃える炭火を彼の頭に積むことになる」。

 

悪に負けることなく、善をもって悪に勝ちなさい。

Romans 12.1-21

New life in christ
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.

Pattern of life in Christ
Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” No, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

22．決断の指針が必要な時

①ヤコブ 1：5～6
あなたがたの中で知恵の欠けている人があれば、神に求めなさい。そうすれば、与えられます。神は、とがめもせず惜しみなくすべて人に与えてくださる方です。少しも疑うことなく、信じて求めなさい。疑う者は、風に吹かれて揺れ動く海の波に似ています。

James 1.5-6
If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind;

23．感謝の思いがあふれる時

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

24．病気や苦痛の時

In times of illness or pain
①マタイ 26：39
〔イエスは〕少し先に進んでうつ伏せになり、祈って言われた。

「父よ、できることなら、この〔苦難の〕杯を私から過ぎ去らせてください。

しかし、私の望むようにではなく、御心のままに〔なさってください〕」。

Matthew 26.39
And going a little farther, he threw himself on the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not what I want but what you want.”

②ローマ 5：3～5
そればかりでなく、苦難をも誇りとしています。苦難が忍耐を生み、 忍耐は品格を、品格が希望を生むことを知っているからです。

 

この希望が失望に終わることはありません。私たちに与えられた聖霊によって、神の愛が私たちの心に注がれているからです。

Romans 5.3-5

And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

〔体の棘を取り除いてくださるよう、私は三度、主に願いました。〕ところが主は、「私の恵みはあなたに十分である。力は弱さの中で完全に現れるのだ」と言われました。

 

だから、キリストの力が私に宿るように、むしろ大いに喜んで自分の弱さを誇りましょう。

 

それゆえ、私は弱さ、侮辱、困窮、迫害、行き詰まりの中にあっても、キリストのために喜んでいます。なぜなら、私は、弱いときにこそ強いからです。

2 Corinthians 12.9-10
〔Three times I asked the Lord to remove the thorn from my body.〕but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.”

 

So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

④フィリピ 4：6～7
何事も思い煩（わずら）ってはなりません。どんな場合にも、感謝を込めて祈りと願いを献げ、求めているものを神に打ち明けなさい。

 

そうすれば、あらゆる人知を超えた神の平和が、あなたがたの心と考えとをキリスト・イエスにあって守るでしょう。

Philippians 4.6-7
Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
